Facebook-a-Day Giveaway Official Rules
(1) No purchase necessary. A purchase will not increase your chances of winning.
(2) Sweepstakes open to residents who reside within a 55 mile radius of Caroline’s Cupcakes Canton, Ohio location; and who are 16 years of age or older, except employees and immediate families (spouse, parents, siblings, and children) of Caroline’s Cupcakes LLC.
(3) To enter: (A) Choose to “like” any daily “Facebook-a-day Giveaway” individual contest posting, or (B) Mail a 3” x 5” card containing name, address, city, state, zip, daytime phone number, e-mail address and date of birth to Caroline’s Cupcakes Facebook-a-day giveaway, 4866 Everhard Rd NW, Canton, OH 44718. The Sweepstakes begins at 12:00 a.m. Eastern Time on Wednesday February 1, 2012 (the “Sweepstakes Start Date”) and closes at Noon Eastern Time on Wednesday February 29, 2012 (the “Sweepstakes End Date”) (such period being the “Sweepstakes Period”). Entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time each day during the Sweepstakes Period to be eligible for that day’s Daily Prize drawing and each remaining Daily Prize drawing during the Sweepstakes period. Only one entry per envelope on mail in entries will be accepted. Entry must be completely filled out to be considered eligible. Daily winners will be chosen by a drawing to be held at or around 12:00 p.m. each day. Winners will be notified by Facebook message and/or mail at Noon Eastern Time each day during the Sweepstakes period. In the event the winner cannot be contacted within 48 hours or declines the prize an alternate winner will be selected. Caroline’s Cupcakes does not assume any responsibility for incorrect or inaccurate capture of entry information, technical malfunctions, human or technical error, seeding or printing errors, lost/delayed/garbled data or transmissions, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, or failures of any telephone or computer line or network, computer equipment, software or any combination thereof. Entry materials that have been tampered with or altered are void. If, in Caroline’s Cupcakes opinion, this Sweepstakes is compromised or becomes technically corrupted in any way, electronically or otherwise, Caroline’s Cupcakes reserves the right to cancel, terminate, or suspend the Sweepstakes (or the online portion thereof, if applicable) and, in such event, to select a winner for the prize by randomly drawing from among all valid entries received, up to such time of cancellation, termination, or suspension, or solely from the mailed entries. Caroline’s Cupcakes further reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel or modify the Sweepstakes if fraud or other failure destroys the integrity of the Sweepstakes.
(4) Sweepstakes Prizes: Starting Wednesday February 1, 2012 for twenty-nine (29) consecutive days, excluding Sundays; one (1) entrant will be chosen as a winner each day in a random drawing from all eligible Entries. Actual prizes will be announced when the winners are notified. Available prizes include:
(A) “Cupcakes for a Year”. One (1) dozen cupcakes per week, for 52 consecutive weeks, starting the week of March 5, 2012. Weekly cupcakes do not carry over, and must be used during each week assigned. Winner may appropriate one (1) alternate person to pick up cupcakes. Must be pre-ordered, from selections available on the menu from the day of pick up. (Approximate value $1,100.00). (B) ‘Cupcake Wedding’ includes wedding consultation, up to twelve (12) dozen cupcakes as well as one (1) medium sized round tower rental and delivery within 25 miles of Caroline’s Cupcakes Canton, OH location. Any additional cupcakes, tower size, or distance for delivery are extra costs to winner. Winner must choose date based on availability at time of booking. Prize may be transferred to another person upon approval from Caroline’s Cupcakes (i.e. daughter, mother, sister, friend, etc) (Approximate Value $365.00). (C) ‘Rockin’ Cupcake Party’ includes twenty-one (21) tickets and unlimited parking on a date and time selected at the discretion of Caroline’s Cupcakes during the spring/summer months of 2012. Party includes four large one topping pizzas, assorted chips, non-alcoholic beverages, and four (4) dozen cupcakes of winners choice. Cupcakes must be pre-ordered in advance of event. Party also includes live entertainment from Orange OK Band for two hours. Weather permitting, outdoor seating and tables will be available (Approximate Value $550.00). (D) ‘Four Pack’ includes four (4) cupcakes of winners choice from cupcakes available on day of pickup (Approximate Value $7.80). (E) ‘Six Pack’ includes six (6) cupcakes of winners choice from cupcakes available on day of pickup (Approximate Value $11.70). (F) ‘Full Dozen’ includes twelve (12) cupcakes of winners choice from cupcakes available on day of pickup (Approximate Value $21.00). (G) ‘Two Dozen’ includes twenty-four (24) cupcakes of winners choice from cupcakes available on day of pickup, pre-order suggested. (Approximate Value $42.00). (G) ‘Two Dozen with Display’ includes twenty-four (24) cupcakes of winners choice, as well as one (1) display stand that holds 24 cupcakes. Must be pre-ordered at least 24 hours in advance of pickup. (Approximate Value $52.00). (H) ‘Valentine’s Day Special’ includes four (4) cupcakes of winners choice from cupcakes available on day of pickup, two chocolate covered strawberries, and one floral arrangement from Twigs & Twine (Approximate Value $13.00).
Other prizes may be added at discretion of Caroline’s Cupcakes, and will be amended to this list as they become available to Caroline’s Cupcakes.
The winning prizes are non-transferable to any other person, including relatives or friends unless noted in the prize description.
(5) Winner is solely responsible for all applicable federal, state and local taxes and any expenses associated with the game, unless otherwise indicated. No substitution, cash equivalent or transfer of prize permitted except at Caroline’s Cupcakes’ option for a prize of comparable or greater value.
(6) Chances of winning are dependent on number of Entries received prior to each selection date.
(7) A list of winners (first name, last name initial and city of residence only) can be obtained by writing to: “Caroline’s Cupcakes Facebook-a-day giveaway, 4866 Everhard Rd NW, Canton, OH 44718.
(8) By entering, entrant agrees to follow the Official Rules and hold harmless and indemnify the Released Parties against any and all liability, damages or causes of action (however named or described), with respect to or arising out of the Sweepstakes, including, but not limited to, (i) entrant’s participation; or (ii) the receipt or use of the prizes awarded in the promotion.
(9) In consideration for being awarded the prize, winner hereby agrees and consents, without further authorization, compensation or remuneration of any kind, to the use of winner’s name and/or likeness in any and all advertising, promotions and other publicity conducted by the Released Parties except where prohibited by law.
(10) As a condition and prior to be awarded a prize, potential winners and his/her companions/guests, if applicable, must execute an affidavit certifying the winner’s age, eligibility and re-affirming the release of the Released Parties from any and all liability arising from, among other things: (i) participation in the Sweepstakes; (ii) acceptance of the prizes awarded therein; and (iii) the administration of the Sweepstakes and distribution of the prizes awarded therein.
(11) Sweepstakes void where prohibited.
